Brown-Edged Butter Cookies
Sift together in a bowl and reserve:
3/4 cup sifted all-purpose flour
1/8 teaspoon salt

Mix together with electric mixer or wooden spoon until light & fluffy
1/2 cup soft butter or margarine 
1/3 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 egg

Add flour mixture and mix well.
Drop by half teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.

Bake in preheated oven 350° for about 10 minutes or until edges are golden brown. Remove to wire racks to cool. Makes about 2 dozen.

Store airtight. Can be frozen. Good keepers but not good shippers
